.....the Feast of St Joseph brings together our college motto ‘To Act Justly’ with that strong MacKillop tradition of “never seeing a need without doing something about it”, as well as an appreciation of our past and recognition of the dedicated ministry of the Sisters of St Joseph who have served the East Gosford community.

Already this term we have had students involved in Peer Mentoring, a Mary Macs visit, training for Year 7 IT devices, house group activities, a scholars assembly, Broken Bay touch football for the Opens, Valentine’s Day stalls and a JJAMM leaders conference. My congratulations go to all the students who have participated in these activities and to the staff who have assisted with the preparation and the organisation of these events.

During this last week of Term 3 we have had a number of significant ceremonies to farewell our Year 12 students as they completed their last formal classes at the school. These ceremonies have included a Graduation Mass, a Year 12 Awards Ceremony, a Year 12 breakfast and a farewell assembly with the rest of the school community. This week the girls have finished their six years at St Joseph’s with maturity and dignity, demonstrating the characteristics of true MacKillop women.

This Sunday we celebrate Father’s Day; a time to recognize the many sacrifices that our fathers make to help us become who we are. A good father is one who has strong values and promotes ideals for which to strive. A good father gives good example about hard work and striving for goals. A good father cares and gives time.
