The current college house system, comprising six house groups began in 2012 as a result of further articulating the college CELL framework which aims to strengthen the schools Josephite heritage, enhance the connection of students across and within year groups and encourage greater student and staff engagement in school events and activities.

Lines of Communication

This information is provided to you to facilitate communication between home and the college. Most issues at a large college like St Joseph’s Catholic College can be resolved very quickly if directed to the correct staff member.
To assist you and your daughter, the table below details the lines for effective communication within the college.

Please note that the college office/reception hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Issues relating to specific subjects, learning and teaching, which include assignments and tests, homework, resources and equipment, are directed to the class teacher in the first instance

Issues relating to student wellbeing, illness and notes, issues at home, uniform requirements, school planner, issues with public transport, student health, day to day arrangements are directed to your daughter’s Pastoral Leader in the first instance

If it is a specific learning difficulty question you may wish to consult with the Leader of Learning Support (Ms Tracy Simpson) who is also the teacher in charge of Disability Provisions
