The funeral details for Mrs Pourbozorgi are as follows;
When: Saturday 17th April (last Saturday of the school holidays) Where: Our Lady Star of the Sea Terrigal Time: Service begins at 11am
For any students of St Joseph’s wishing to attend we would ask that you wear your college summer school uniform. As a proud Tacey homeroom teacher we will be honouring Mrs Pourbozorgi by the wearing of yellow flowers. These flowers will be distributed to students, outside the church by Mrs Power, concluding the service. Year 12 Tacey, Mrs Pourbozorgi’s homeroom class, will form a guard of honour at the conclusion of the service. All students are welcome to join this guard of honour to line the driveway with a sea of our uniforms and yellow flowers in honour of Mrs P as the family leave the service.
Please continue to keep family and friends in your prayers at this difficult time.
It is with a very sad heart that I inform you that Mrs Julia Pourbozorgi passed away yesterday morning after a 3-year battle with Cancer. Mrs Pourbozorgi, or Mrs P as she was affectionately known, was an extremely dedicated and valued Learning Support Teacher and had been part of our St Joseph’s community for the past 8 years. She was also a committed and enthusiastic homeroom teacher of Year 12 Tacey. Mrs Pourbozorgi had battled Cancer for much of the past few years, with her health deteriorating over the past few weeks and, in particular, the past few days. Mrs Pourbozorgi bravely fought her illness with all her might and efforts. She had a great determination to try all medical interventions and endured an arduous treatment plan over a long period of time.
Mrs Pourbozorgi had a great love for the students she taught and worked with and will be greatly missed by our whole college community.
I would ask that you please keep Mrs Pourbozorgi’s family, friends, and one another in your prayers.
