Our Community Message
St Joseph’s Catholic College has had a relatively short history, although a significant one. It is part of a Catholic tradition which extends back two thousand years to Christ, but more immediately it can be linked to the traditions of Mary MacKillop’s Sisters of St Joseph.
I was drawn to teaching to make a difference in the lives of young people. My own family arrived in the UK as refugees from Chile in the 1970s, settling in Central London. Growing up in social housing my own education at a Catholic girls’ school provided me with incredible opportunities. I experienced the empowering impact of education myself and I want to inspire the young women of St Joseph’s to see new possibilities for themselves through learning.
