Listed below is an outline of the process for enrolment in Year 7 – 2021. Year 7 2021
It is always an exciting time for students leaving Primary School and commencing their secondary education, and we hope that you find this site a source of useful and relevant information on the profile of St Joseph’s Catholic College and what it has to offer.
Year 7 2021 Open Day
All current Year 6 girls intending to apply for a position at St Joseph’s Catholic College in 2021 are invited to attend the college Open Day on Monday 2nd March 2020. Tours of the college will commence at 3.45pm and 5.30pm and will depart from the front foyer of the college.
Submission of Applications
The closing date for applications for Year 7 2021 is Friday 1st May 2020. However, we do encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible as this does provide a good indication of expected numbers and assists with planning.
Applications should include all supporting documentation as outlined on page 10 of the Application Form (incl. copy of Birth Certificate, copy of Year 5 Report and NAPLAN results, copies of holy sacrament certificates (where these have been made), and a copy of your child’s immunisation record). An application fee of $80.00 is due on submission.
Enrolment Interviews – Year 7 2021
Parents and students will be invited to attend an enrolment interview with one of the leaders of the college from Monday 11th May 2020. A limited number of evening appointments will be available. These will be 20 minute interviews which will provide the opportunity for you to ask any questions you or your daughter may have concerning the college, curriculum, pastoral care etc.
First Round Offers
First round offers are due to be mailed out in the first week of June 2021.
Once an offer of enrolment has been made we ask that you complete the Acceptance Form and submit this with a $250.00 (non-refundable) deposit by the date given to secure your daughter’s place at the College for 2021.
If unsuccessful in the first round, applications are wait listed and offers made as places become available or where first round offers have not been accepted.
Withdrawal of Application
You are requested to advise us at any time through the enrolment process if you are withdrawing your application. We thank you for this courtesy which assists with our administration of applicants and planning, and does impact any who may be wait listed.
A parent meeting will be held on the Monday 16th November 2020 all parents of incoming Year 7 girls, including those who have older daughters already at the school. We ask that you keep this date free as the event has become a valuable information forum where you have the opportunity to meet your daughter’s Pastoral Teacher and other key members of the teaching and pastoral staff. A lot of information is presented and packs provided, hence one or both parents are encouraged to attend.
